Middle school is going quite well for Wesley. I took him to school this morning and we stopped and got a soda and corn nuts (he had a healthy breakfast before he left the house.) I asked him if he minded bing dropped of earlier than normal and

he said “no mom, I’m not afraid anymore.”

I asked him “you were scared at first? I completely understand, going from elementary to middle school can be a scary thing but not that you are settled in it’s gotten better right?”

he said “no, I made friends with some 7th and eighth graders.”

I said “how did you manage to make friends with 7th and 8th graders?”

He said “the hair mom, the hair!”
